May 27, 2013—DR. PHIBES, the classic-horror character from the hit
movies, THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES (AIP
1971), and DR. PHIBES RISES AGAIN!
(AIP
1972), has grown into a
true cult icon and now boasts four Dr. Phibes
books, including DR. PHIBES IN THE BEGINNING , plus this
year's DR. PHIBES VULNAVIA'S SECRET, effectively branding
the franchise along with his full cast of macabre characters, and
launching them straight into the 21st century.
Now, in DR. PHIBES 'SOPHIE' : THE NEWEST DR. PHIBES CLOCKWORK
WIZARD, Phibes is finally poised to achieve his
lifelong goal of fulfilling his FOREVER MISSION and restoring life to his beloved ‘Lady’ Victoria. This #3 film in the Dr. Phibes
series is the film his fans far and wide have been calling for and the bridge
between the original Dr. Phibes fans and the new global fan base
the abominable doctor enjoys today.
The plot revolves around DR. PHIBES
and his newly created ‘SOPHIE’, the lead singer of ‘The Dr. Phibes Clockwork
Wizards’, and product of the most advanced scientific restorative
techniques ever seen on screen. We watch as Phibes fashions his pitch-perfect
singing diva into her place in
the spotlight with consequences both sublime and confounding best
described by only 'SOPHIE' herself: "I AM ALMOSTHUMAN".
Goldstein and Goldstein have launched the ‘DR.
PHIBES - Kickstarter Project’ to
return Dr. Phibes' to the
Big Screen. The project proceeds will fund the production,
distribution and
marketing costs of a 'short' film. This 'short' will be pitched
to a
group of major Hollywood movie
studios as the basis for a full-length feature film.
All Kickstarter backers will
receive 'DR. PHIBES - Kickstarter

including a signed exclusive
